An insight in to my golfing background
I first started playing golf at the age of 12 at Windermere Golf Club in the Lake District. I soon got addicted to the game, and played for the Windermere Junior team, the Scratch Team and also for my County.
After leaving school I went to The University of Birmingham, whilst studying I played for the golf team each year with the highlight coming in the second year when we became BUSA champions.
After University I turned Professional and worked as an Assistant Professional at Whitlebury Park, Silverstone. I was at Whittlebury for 3 years and them moved on to run a small driving range near Milton Keynes.
Five years ago I moved back to the Lake District and I now teach and club fit at CARUS GREEN.
I have been very privileged to work and spend time with many golfing greats, from legends such as Seve Ballesteros to current Ryder Cup stars to some of the world’s best coaches and it is this knowledge and experience that I wish to pass onto you.

What’s in my bag?
I am currently very happy with my clubs and can honestly say they have never been better. Quality heads from Miura and Bridgestone with the latest Nippon shafts all MOI matched for ultimate consistency.
I play with a 9.5 degree Bridgestone J40 driver with a Nippon Regio Formula S flex shaft.
My fairway wood matches my driver and is the Bridgestone J40 16 degree 4 wood with a Nippon Regio Formula S flex shaft.
- Irons & Wedges
I play with the Miura tournament blades 3 - Pw with the Nippon Modus Tour 120 shaft Stiff shaft.
I carry 3 additional wedges to that of my PW, I use the Miura wedges in black lofts 52, 56 and 60. The shafts are Nippons WV wedges shafts, these shafts feel great on both full and half shots.
- Putter and Ball
David Lee developer of the Gravity teaching system has designed a putter which perfectly matches the Gravity putting method. The Arc Angel gives a great roll and is very forgiving on off centre hits.
I play the Bridgestone B330 ball, my driver swing speed hovers around 110 mph so I can compress the ball and don't over spin it. The great thing with Bridgestone is that they have a number of models with differnt compressions this means that you can match the ball to your swing speed to ensure great performance.
